Seeing a heading titled; Fashionable Watches / Designer Watches / Trendy Watches would make one think, "My word!  That could mean any kind of watch!"  True, but on this page we're going to mention those that make a statement, those that set new precedence in design and those that are... the most sought-after.  Therefore, this page (and the one linked to it) will constantly be updated and need the input of our viewers, to tell us what you think should be mentioned on this page.

"As is often the case in retro fashion, historical accuracy is somewhat beside the point” (The New York Times).  How true.  Much of the 60's styles are returning again and no where is it more apparent than in clothing and accessories.  Bigger and bolder is today's statement.  As for wrist watches; bright, vivid colors and wide bands are all the rage.

Not only is style important to the consumer, but also name-brand.  As was always the case, if you're wearing a popular, name-brand timepiece... it will get noticed.  It seems almost unfair, to the multitudes of manufacturers out there, to attempt a list, but as mentioned earlier... it will need updated.

As always, you will need to ask yourself a couple of questions, before making a timepiece purchase.  First and foremost, are you looking for legibility or cosmetic appeal?  Generally, in the "Fashionable / Designer / Trendy" category, legibility is not a primary concern.  Although, purchasing a fashionable, digital watch can solve both issues.

Secondly, what kind of strap or bracelet material are you looking for?  EOS has designed a timepiece that looks amazingly like a ribbon watch, but actually has superior, leather backing under the strap (pictured above).

Fossil has created a virtual "Watch Bar", where you can build your own watch, by  assembling a dial to a strap and placing your order (not to mention their superb pre-made collection, pictured left).

Diesel timepieces are a fashion statement all their own.  They are constantly unveiling new strap and dial designs that boggle the mind and set new standards in the watch-making industry (pictured top left).

The third question is; what kind of dial are you looking for?  Oakley has cornered the market on unique-shaped dials (pictured bottom right).  In our opinion, their optical wear seems almost secondary to their ground-breaking timepiece designs.

RSW has captured the seamless ability to combine a lizard-strap and diamond-studded bracelet, with a rotating timepiece (pictured left).

For those with a love for Science-Fiction, the H.R. Giger-looking Adidas Digi VI is a must (pictured right)!

Another trendy-looking timepiece to wear is a Nixon.  These timepieces are among the major competing brand-names on the market.  Their wide bands and interesting dials (pictured left) are quite captivating and sure to become more and more in-demand as time progresses.
